This tutorial is written in and for PSP Version 7 and assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.
Any resemblence to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

For this tutorial you will need the following

  • Paint Shop Pro, get it HERE

Right click and save this image to your pc.

Photo from an unknown source, if you own the copyright,
please email me and I will either remove or give you credit, whichever prefered.

Open the image in PSP, duplicate it (ctrl+D or window > duplicate)
    and close the original.

Now duplicate it another twice so that you have 3 images all the same
Minimise images 2 & 3, and activate image one for us to work on

Grab your retouch tool (the hand with pointed finger icon) and set the tool options as follows

Carefully smudge the white water by making small marks sideways across your image
repeat this process with your other 2 images.

Once you have completed all three, activate your second image > Edit >Copy
Paste as a new layer onto your 1st Image
Note You must paste as a new layer so that it is centered properly and has its own layer for the animation

Repeat this process with the third image

You should now have 3 layers on image 1
Save this in PSP format and name it waterfall

Open AS and open the waterfall you just saved
View the animation and voila!!!! you have an animated waterfall *S*

Now you can optimise and save as a gif.

Here is another one that I added a few fairies and sparkle to
