This tutorial is written in and for PSP Version 7 and assumes you have a
working knowledge of PSP.
Any resemblence to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

For this tutorial you will need the following
Paint Shop Pro, get it HERE
My Octagon PSP Image, get it HERE
Tube of your Choice
Gold gradient fill, right click and save to your PC

Lets Begin *S*

Open the tube you want to use in PSP

Open the gold fill and set as your foreground styles pattern
Choose a colour for your background styles, I am using Red #C00000
You will be best choosing a colour from your tube.

Open the Octagon PSP file......the selections are in the alpha channel

Selections > Load from alpha channel > choose selection 1.....OK
Flood fill with the gold gradient.

Selections > Load from alpha channel > choose selection 2.....OK
Flood fill with your solid colour.

Selections > Load from alpha channel > choose selection 3.....OK
Flood fill with the gold gradient.

Selections > Load from alpha channel > choose selection 4.....OK
Flood fill with your solid colour.

Rename this layer "Base"
Duplicate this layer and name it "Upper".
Resize the upper layer to 80%....all layers UNCHECKED

Add a new layer name it "Text"
Set your background styles to the gold gradient, Set your foreground style to NULL

Add your name using your favourite font....then add a drop shadow with the settings below
Vertical & Horizontal = 3
Opacity = 70
Blur = 5
Colour = Black.

Add a new layer, name it "Tube"
Resize your tube (if it needs it) copy and paste it as a new selection
Once you have your tube in place, you may need to move your name to a different position.

NOTE; I added a red background layer to match my page
Either add a background layer now or leave transparent.

Layers > Merge >Merge visible
Save as Octagon1 in PSP format

Undo Merge and make your "Base" layer active
Image rotate 30 degrees left, all layers unchecked.

make the "Upper" layer active
Image rotate 30 degrees right, all layers unchecked.

Layers> Merge > Merge Visible
Save as Octagon2 in PSP format

Undo Merge, and repeat the process again
Rotate the Base 30 degrees left and the Upper 30 degrees right
Merge visible and save as Octagon3 in PSP format

Launch animation shop
Using the Animation Wizard, bring your 3 frames together, set the speed to 5.
View the animation, If you are happy with it, Optimize and save as a gif.

Voila.....your finished!!!!
