For this tutorial you will need the following
Paint Shop Pro, get it HERE
My Tube Zip (optional) HERE
My Diamond Template zip HERE
My Butterfly Brush Tip HERE
Chinyen TTF Font HERE
Save the brush tip to your PSP brushes folder....
Save the font to a folder where you normally save your fonts, or open and minimise it so it is available for the tutorial
Open the tube and diamond template in PSP
On the Diamond Template file....you will see that it has 2 layers
This is so we can place the tube between them.
Ok....Lets Get Crackin *S*
1.Actvate the bottom layer of the diamond template
Go to selections, select all, selections, float, selections, modify, expand by 1 pixel....OK
while still selected, flood fill with a pattern of your choice, I am using a gradient of colours that I made by choosing colours from the tube.
After you have filled it, add an inner bevel with these settings

Select none.
2. Repeat step one above with the top layer of the diamond template.
3. make sure the bottom layer of the diamond image is activated, then copy and paste your tube into the diamond image.
4. Using the mover tool, reposition your tube towards the right of the diamond so you have something like this

5. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
6. add a drop shadow with the following settings
Horizontal and Vertical = 4
Opacity = 70
Blur = 12
Colour = #404040
7. Add a new layer and drag it to the bottom of your layer palette, flood fill with white.
8. Add a new layer and drag to the top of the layer palette.
9. Grab your paint brush tool....
On the tool options palette.....click the little paintbrush in the corner and select "Custom" from the drop down menu.

when the new window opens, select the butterfly from the drop down menu.

Now set the size of your butterfly...these are the sizes I used
Large = 100
medium = 60
small = 30
10. Your butterflies all depend on what colour your foreground is set at so set your foreground colour now, I am using Black #000000
11.Add some butterflies to your image
NOTE; if you add them on different layers you can mirror and rotate them so that they are not all facing the same way
12 Once you are happy with your butterflies, add a drop shadow to the butterfly layers, using the settings earlier in step 6.
13.Layers Merge Visible, and save in psp format.
14. Open a new image W300 x H200 transparent.
15. Set your foreground pattern to the same colour as your butterflies and your background pattern to the fill you used on the Diamond.
16, Grab the text tool, choose your favorite font and add your name to the new canvas.
My settings are......
Font = Chinyen
Size = 66
Bold, Floating and Antialias checked
17. Add the same inner bevel as in step 1
Colours > adjust > Brightness and contrast
Brightness = 30 Contrast = 0
Then add a drop shadow as in step 6....select none.
Launch Animation Shop.
18. Edit > copy your name and paste as a new animation into Animation shop
Click effects > insert image effect.....with the settings below

Then click the customise button and set as below.

OK them both....and you will have an animation of 5 frames.
Go to the first frame, right click and delete it so you have 4 frames left, the animation is not added to the first frame and thats why we delete it.
19.Open your oriental diamond image that you saved in PSP earlier
and duplicate it till you have 4 frames the same as your name image.
20. Activate your name image > edit > select all > edit > copy.
21 Activate your oriental image > edit >select all >edit paste the name into selected frame.
do not click the mouse till your name is positioned where you want it.
22 View your animation....if you are happy with it..resize to 70-80%,
optimize and save as a gif.
Voila........your taste of the orient!!!
