This tutorial is written in and for PSP Version 7 and assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.
Any resemblence to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

For this tutorial you will need the following
Paint Shop Pro, get it HERE
Save one of my moon and star sets HERE
Coiled Unical Font HERE
Fairy Tube HERE

Extract the font to your fonts folder (normally C;drive\windows\fonts)

Open the fairy tube in psp, duplicate, and close the original....minimise for later.

Open the moon stars image in PSP, duplicate and close the original.

Add a new layer, name it background and fill with white.......Layers > arrange > send to bottom.

Hide the star layer (check the glasses on the layer palette)

Actvate the moon layer and resize to 80% all layers unchecked

Duplicate the moon layer and name it moon 2.......hide moon 2 layer and activate moon 1

Effects > Geometric effects > spiky halo....with these settings

Unhide and activate your moon 2 layer and add a drop shadow with these settings
Vertical & Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 70
Blur = 20
Choose a colour from your moon as the shadow colour
(for this green set I used #84ACA8.

Unhide and Activate the star layer Image > resize > to 80% > all layers unchecked.
Move the star down so it is over lapping the moon.
On the layer palette, duplicate the star layer and rename it star 2
Make sure you are on the star 2 layer then Image > Rotate > Right 30 degrees (all layers unchecked)
Effects > sharpen > sharpen
Duplicate star 2, name it star 3 and rotate 30 degrees,
effects > sharpen > sharpen.

Add a new layer....name it TEXT...make sure it is at the top of your layer palette and activated
Set your fore & background colours to 2 colours from your image
I am using #28C9C9 foreground & #A8F6F4 background.

Grab your text tool and find the Cioled Unical font or whatever font you are using
Font size = 48 bold and centered.
Floating & Antialias Checked
type your name then OK.

Place the text on the image ....this doesn't have to be the same position as mine.....keep selected

Selections > Modify > contract by 1 pixel

Effects.> 3d Effects > Inner bevel....with these settings .....OK

Selections > select none.

Effects > 3d Effects > Drop shadow with the same settings as the moon shadow.

Add a new layer name it fairy
Activate your fairy image because we are going to colorize it
Choose a colour from your main image....I chose #A8F6F4
Make a note of the hue & saturation numbers, mine were
Hue = 126
Sat = 207
Activate your fairy again then go to colours > colorize
Add your numbers from above to the hue & sat boxes.......mine was too bright
so I changed the saturation to 100.
Once you are happy with the colour.....then OK it.

Edit > Copy the angel
Go back to your main image and make sure the fairy layer is activated
Edit > paste the fairy as a new selection....position the fairy on the moon....selections > select none.

On the layer palette, hide layers star 2 & star 3, Activate the background layer
then layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
Edit Copy

Launch animation shop and paste as a new animation

Back to PSP.......undo Merge Visible.

Unhide star 2 and hide the original star.(keep star 3 hidden)
Activate the background layer > layers > merge > merge visible

Edit > Copy

Back to animation shop and paste after current frame.

Back to PSP.....undo merge visible

Unhide star 3 and hide star 2 (keep original star hidden)
Activate the background layer > layers > merge > merge visible.

Edit > Copy

Animation shop and paste after current frame

View your animation and change the speed if you want to.....I left mine at 10.

Optimize and save as Gif.........Hey presto you're done!!!!
