Adding Animations Together

This tutorial will show you how to add two animations together...the same technique is used in adding 2 animations or adding a still graphic to an animated graphic.

For this lesson I am adding a still watermark to an already made animation.

First of all open PSP and AS

Open your animation in animation shop.....click the first frame of your animation, then right click and go to

"Export to Paint Shop Pro"

When the frame opens in PSP.....Add a new layer

Find your watermark and resize it to fit your graphic......I have added a fairly big watermark for the tutorial purpose, but normally it would only be a small one in the corner.

Check your layer palette to make sure you are on the new layer, then go to Edit > Copy.

Close your Image.....when asked if you want to update to animation shop click NO.

You should be automatically taken back to animation shop....if not then go to AS.

Edit > Paste > as new Animation.....you will now have 1 frame of your watermark.

In my case....the original animation has 3 frames.....so I need to make my watermark have 3 frames.

Right click on your watermark and go to Duplicate...repeat this till you have the right amount of frames as your animation....if you go over then delete any excess frames.

Once you have the same amount in both graphics we can add them together.

Go to your watermark and make it active.........

Edit > Select All > Edit > Copy.

Go to your animation, make it active.........Edit > Select All > Edit > Paste > Into selected Frame.

Your cursor will hold the watermark till you click to release in the position you want it......Once you click, your watermark will show in all frames (provided you done it properly)

All you have to do is resave your animation with the watermark added.

This technique applies to adding all animations together.....just make sure you have the same number of frames in each animation added.

If you have 2 animations and there isn't enough room on the canvas to add them together.....open a new canvas big enough for both to fit in....duplicate the blank canvas to the same number of frames as the animations then copy and Paste them both into the blank canvas.

You may have to alter the frame properties because the default is normally set to 10.
